Calling all Leo babies! We love finding these vintage zodiac medallions, and finding an enamel and gold zodiac charm is a real rare treat! This vintage gold and enamel Leo charm has such sweet colouring to depict all of the lion's features.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and is hallmarked for the maker 'C&F' and 9ct gold to the back of the lion. There are also further hallmarks to the outisde circular fram for 9ct gold, what looks to be the Birmingham assay mark (this is now quite worn and hard to make out) and what looks to be the date letter 'E' for 1954.
The charm measures approx 15.1mm in diameter (approx 20.2mm tall including the jump ring) and weighs approx 1.55g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does have some surface wear to the gold and some light surface wear to the enamel, including a chip to the enamel on the lion's tail. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
