This vintage gold opening record player charm would be perfect for a music lover, or a singer or musician! When worn closed up, the little box looks a lot like a locket and opens to reveal a tiny gold vinyl record and tone arm inside.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and is marked '9ct' to one side of the outside of the charm although this mark has now almost completely worn away.
It’s hard to date the charm exactly without full British hallmarks but given its style and 9ct gold mark we think it’s likely approx 1950s in age.
The charm weighs approx 1.45g and measures (when closed) approx 12.2mm tall (not including the jump ring but including the handle on the record player) by approx 9.6mm wide by approx 4mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. We have removed the old jump ring pictured as it was a very small size and in poor condition and have replaced it with a new slightly bigger 9ct gold jump ring that is currently pushed closed.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
