Not for the faint hearted, this is one of the most incredible vintage gold charms we've ever found and such a rare one too!
With no detail spared, this miniature 1940s gold guillotine charm is spring loaded so when the jump ring is pulled upwards at the top and let go, the blade actually snaps shut! There is even a tiny bucket at the back to catch the head (eek!).
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold (the spring is not gold, this part is made of a base metal and is black in colour) and has British hallmarks to one side for the maker 'T-L', and the other side for 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'N' for 1948.
The charm measures approx 20.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 6.4mm wide and weighs approx 1g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The spring loaded blade still functions well. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
