We can't help but fall in love with charms that move and this vintage gold swingling elf/jester/clown charm is such a fun piece!

When the lever at the side is turned, the figure lifts up on the bar, goes over the top and flips over. It is such a simple mechanism but the charm has been so cleverly made so that it swings on its arms whilst its body moves.

We can't decide if it looks more like an elf or a jester or clown - we'll leave it up to you to decide!

The charm is made of 10ct gold, unhallmarked but tested, the frame and the figure's arms are solid, while the body of the figure is hollow and detailed to both sides. Without hallmarks, it's hard to date exactly but we think it's likely circa 1950s/60s in age.

The charm measures approx 19.2mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 17.3mm wide by approx 3.2mm deep and the charm weighs approx 1.8g in total.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The moving mechanism still works well. There is a small airhole to the figure's foot from when the charm was made. The jump ring is currently soldered closed.

*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
