We know we shouldn't have favourites, but this guy has stolen our hearts! We think he was originally from an antique Victorian hunting stick pin, and he has later been converted onto a newer vintage gold band to be worn as a ring - such a great idea as he makes an incredible statement ring.

The fox face isn't hallmarked but has been tested and tests as at least 9ct gold. The test results showed that he could possibly by 14/15ct gold. His face has lots of beautiful detailing to show his fur, nose and mouth. And to top it off, his eyes are set with deep red garnets.

The newer vintage ring band is made from 9ct gold and is hallmarked for the makers' B Bros, 9ct gold and has the leopard head for London, England. The ring band is 3mm wide.

The ring weighs just over 6g (the fox head is hollow and has a hole to the reverse where it was originally made) and the fox face measures 17.5mm from chin to tip of the ear, 14.5mm wide and stands approx 14mm tall from the finger.

Ring size - UK N/US 6 1/2

Condition - The fox is in very good antique condition and shows little sign of wear. The gold around his eyes is a slightly darker colour in places but we beleive this originates from when he was made. The gold at the back of his head does have some discolouration marks, potentially from previous gold testing, but these can not be seen when worn. Within the fur marks on the fox's face, there are some slightly deeper marks but we believe these are original to when the fox was made. The ring band is in good vintage condition and shows little sign of wear apart from light surface scratches.
