Although not originally meant to be spooky, this unusual and very rare Victorian charm can't help make us think of all things Halloween at first sight.
What we love about this antique charm though is that once you understand its history and meaning, it is actually a super sweet, highly sentimental piece.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, the gold is unhallmarked but tested, and two tiny baby's milk teeth are capped in gold. It would have been likely that a mother and father would have asked a jeweller to set their child's or children's teeth like this to be treasure and worn by the mother.
The charm weighs approx 1.15g and each tooth with the gold fitting measures approx 9.3mm and 8.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 6mm and 4.5mm wide.
Condition - The charm is in good antique condition with some signs of age including some light surface wear to the gold and teeth. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
