Antique Victorian 9ct gold ivy leaf patterned cross charm/pendant

This antique 9ct gold cross charm is such a beautifully symbolic piece. Likely dating to the Victorian era, we love the added detail of the chased ivy leafs decorating the front of the cross. The Victorian were strong believers in the language of flowers and the use of ivy is said to symbolise fidelity and the phrase 'I cling to thee'. A truly special way to share your faith.

The charm is made of 9ct gold which has a lovely soft rose tone to it and is marked '9ct' to the reverse. The cross is hollow in the middle and weighs approx 1.4g in total. For a hollow charm/pendant it does feel to have quite a strong structure to it so you can tell it has been well made.

The charm measures approx 27.6mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 16.5mm wide by approx 2mm deep.

Condition - The charm is in good antique condition but does show some light signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold and a little wear to the ring at the top that the jump ring connects to. There are no visible dings. The jump ring is currently pushed closed.

*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
