A tool that seems to have completely gone out of fashion, button hooks were popular in the Victorian era to help fasten buttons on garments and shoes, and this particular antique button hook has been fashioned in gold so it's a beautiful piece to wear as well as being practical!
This antique Victorian charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks for Chester, 9ct gold and the date letter R for 1900. There is also a maker's mark however this is a little rubbed and now hard to make out.
The charm weighs approx 2g and measures approx 48mm long (not including the jump ring) by approx 9.5mm wide. The charm has raised detailing to both sides and is hollow in the middle
Condition - The charm is in good antique condition for a piece that is 120 years old! It does have some surface wear and dark marks to the gold. Please see photos for more details.
