This beautiful Victorian ring is a fantastic example of the love and expertise that craftsmen of the 1800s had for the pieces they made.
Featuring three coral cabochons and two small diamonds, they are set in a leaf-life, natural design - a style we haven't seen too frequently before.
The ring also has a beautiful and unusual, serrated-style edge to the top and bottom. Please see photos for more details.
The coral cabochons are set in closed-back settings whilst the diamonds are set in open-back settings.
The ring is made from hallmarked 15ct gold, and carries the hallmark for being assayed in Birmingham, England in 1883. At its widest point, the face measures approx 6mm and the ring weighs approx 1.3g.
This ring would make a beautiful and unusual wedding band or alternative engagement ring. But please be aware that care needs to be taken when wearing old pieces of jewellery, especially with closed back settings, so we don't recommend getting this ring wet.
Ring size - US 6 1/2 - UK N
Condition - The ring is in good condition for its age but does show slight signs of wear including surface scratches that have happened over time. Please see photos for further details.
