We love the delicate floral detailing in this antique gold and diamond pendant. In the centre is a suspended rose cut, foiled back diamond in a buttercup setting that moves to beautifully when worn (we can't help but hum 'Build Me Up Buttercup' whenever we see it!). There are also two sweet gold leaves on the stem too.
The pendant is made of yellow gold (it's unhallmarked but tests as at least 9ct gold) and is a lovely rounded arrowhead shape with the suspended flower drop in the middle. It's a bit of a mixture of styles with the Victorian set rose cut diamond and the Art Nouveau style curved border so we think it's likely circa early 1900s in age.
The pendant measurse approx 27.5mm tall by approx 15mm wide and weighs approx 1.15g.
The pendant is available with or without the modern 9ct gold chain pictured, just select which option you'd like when adding to your basket.
The chain is a newer, modern 9ct gold, 16 inch Singapore (twist) chain with a bolt ring clasp. The chain is approx 0.9mm at its widest point and weighs approx 0.5g in total. It is marked '375' for 9ct gold.
Condition - The pendant is in good antique condition with some light wear to the gold and diamond. The foil backing of the diamond does look to be a little discoloured which adds a mix of grey and brown tones to the stone. The chain is in good vintage condition and the clasp still works well.
