As true Brits, we're great believers in the power of a cup of tea! We're well known as a nation to turn to popping the kettle on, whether it's in a time of comfort, needing help solving a problem, catching up with friends or family, so it's no suprise that we're a little bit in love with this pretty antique gold teapot charm!
The charm is made of 9ct gold, tested as it's unhallmarked, and it has wonderful details throughout, including lovely floral detail right the way around and on the top too. We love how the charm has been made in three dimension, so it looks ready to join the table at afternoon tea!
The charm is detailed throughout and is hollow in the middle with a small airhole to the bottom from when the charm was made. Without hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely from circa 1900. It originated from an antique charm bracelet that we believe dates to circa 1900.
The charm measures approx 14.7mm tall by approx 16.5mm handle to spout by approx 10mm deep and weighs approx 1.35g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good antique condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and is on the handle of the teapot unfixed so it moves when worn. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
