These vintage and antique gold fobs are such incredible pieces to find and are becoming rarer and harder to come across too! This particular fob has the most beautiful gold open work detailing that frames a triangle in the middle which has a bright pop of red enamel. Within the enamel are three words, 'Justice, Truth, Philanthropy' and then in the very centre is an all seeing eye.
The fob is just as intriguing to the back too! Along with British hallmarks for the maker 'Fattorini & Sons', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'V' for 1920, the fob has been hand engraved too. It looks to have been awarded to someone the same year it was made, reading:
'Bro.L.Moxon.Kom by RHYL and
Presented to DIST PGCC for services rendered
As president 1920'
We belive the fob/pendant has Masonic origins given its hand engravings and eye symbol to the front.
The fob weighs approx 6.2g and measures approx 44mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 31.7mm wide by approx 1.8mm deep.
Condition - The fob is in good antique condition to say it is over 100 years old but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and enamel. The gold is slightly rosier in colour in places and yellower in colour in others. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and is also hallmarked for 9ct gold. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the fob will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch. The chain is available separately via our website.*
