We love finding these antique love tokens, you never know what engravings you're going to find! These sentimental gifts were made of coins, smoothed down on either one side or both and then hand engraved with names, terms of endearment, special dates or even secret messages and then gifted to your loved one - such a sweet present to show your love!

This Victorian British love token has been smoothed down in the centre on one side and then hand engraved 'NAN'. Around the engraving and the other side has been left as is and shows the side profile of Queen Victoria. To the front where Nan is engraved, the date 1911 can be seen. We believe from its diameter it was originally a threepence coin, a coin no longer in circulation in the UK.

The love token is made of sterling silver (unmarked) and measures approx 16.1mm in diameter (approx 20.9mm tall including the jump ring at the top) and weighs approx 1.6g.

Condition - The love token is in good antique condition with some surface wear and patina to the silver. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and is slightly yellow in colour, this ring isn't sterling silver. Please see photos.

*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the pendant will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
