Originally made as a fob case to hold your stamps, this antique sterling silver opening envelope makes such a beautiful pendant.
The envelope is made of sterling silver and has British hallmarks on the inside for the maker 'A.B.J', sterling silver, Chester and the date letter 'D' for 1904. The flap opens to reveal the compartment inside.
The envelope measures approx 27mm tall (not including the fittings at the top) by approx 23mm wide by approx 3.5mm deep and weighs approx 3.65g in total.
Condition - The pendant is in good, wearable antique condition but does show significant signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the silver throughout and some indents/dings to both the front and back. Please note that the envelope flap doesnt sit completely flush when closed and pushes closed so can lift up when worn. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
