One of the most elegant shapes of ring that we think exists, the navette (also known as the marquise) shaped ring flatters and elongates the finger when worn. It also makes a great statement ring too!
This particular antique ring features a central pearl, surrounded by rose cut diamonds of varying sizes. There is also some lovely open work detailing around the pearl, making it look as if it's almost floating.
The shank is made from unhallmarked yellow gold which tests as at least 9ct gold (we believe from testing it is 18ct gold). We haven't tested the face of the ring as we didn't want to cause any damage, but we believe it's made from silver, overlaid onto the yellow gold.
The style of the ring makes us believe it's from around the 1920s - it has a lovely Art Deco feel to it. The ring's face measures approx 22mm by 8mm and the ring weighs approx 3.3g.
Ring size - UK M 1/2/just under a US 7
Condition - The ring is in good antique condition. It shows slight signs of wear including light surface scratches to the shank. On close inspection you can see some slight signs of the glue used to set the pearl. Please see photos for more detail.
