We love finding owls in antique and vintage jewellery. They hold such lovely symbolism, including wisdom and knowledge. This really sweet antique gold moon has such a lovely owl perched upon it. The gold is two tone in green and a soft rose tone and the owl has two glinting ruby cabochon eyes too!
The charm is made of 15ct gold, marked '15ct' to the back.
The charm we believe is likely either late Victorian or possibly Edwardian in age, circa 1880-1910.
The charmweighs approx 1.65g in total and measures approx 20.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 16.2mm wide by approx 3.65mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good antique condition but it does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and ruby eyes. the moon is ever so slightly out of shape towards the bottom point. The ring at the top that the jump ring connects to is a little thinner due to wear at the top. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
